Requirement/Limits:

Saber is an electronic platform that helps the local supplier and factory to register the required conformity certificates electronically for consumer products, whether imported or locally manufactured, to enter the Saudi market. The platform also aims to raise the level of safe products in the Saudi. Below are the procedures:

1)Importer do the registration on SABER system;
2)Applicant (or SGS in its behalf) needs to register every product intended to be imported in KSA. Registration is to be itemized by product model.
3)Regulated products (i.e. products covered by a Saudi Technical Regulation) will be subjected to Certificate of Conformity, which is valid for 12 months. Applicant to select SGS, as Certification Body for PCoC on Regulated Products. SGS to facilitate 4)Conformity Assessment & Certification issuance. Depending on the Certification Scheme defined in the Technical Regulation, a Factory Audit and/or testing might need to be required.
4)Shipment Certificate is required for both Regulated & Non-regulated products. Applicant (or SGS in its behalf) should create a SC request in SABER after PCOC approved

Authorization

Moreover, LCS won many authorized qualifications both domestic and overseas. LCS is recognized as IEC/ISO17025 laboratories accepted by CNAS and NVLAP, accredited by CPSC, CMA, accredited for CQC, ISTA, CBTL, SASO, SABS. Meanwhile LCS become laboratory authorized by TUV, BQTF issued by the SIG. LCS had also signed cooperation agreements with FCC, ISED, ETL, CEC, UL, E-Mark, CETECOM, KTC, SAA Approval and many other authoritative institutions, hence we can provide our clients with efficient and professional service for product test and certification.
