From February 2024 to March 2024, the EU Rapid Early Warning System
for Non-Food Consumer Products (RAPEX) reported multiple cases of
violations of the EU RoHS Directive and POPs regulations, mainly
involving lead and di(2-ethylhexyl phthalate). ) ester (DEHP),
dibutyl phthalate (DBP), short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCP),
and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Relevant notification cases are as follows:
1. Toy car
Country of Origin: China
Reason for recall: Environmental
The lead concentration in the product was too high (measured as
high as 72.4% by weight). Does not meet the requirements of the EU
RoHS 2.0 directive

This product contains an excessively high lead concentration
(measured as high as 51.3% by weight) and does not comply with the

The product's lead concentration is too high (measured value is as
high as 67.54% by weight) and does not meet the requirements of the

The solder lead concentration in the product is too high. (Measures
up to 63% by weight). The concentrations of lead, bis(2-ethylhexyl)
phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and short-chain
chlorinated paraffins (SCCP) in the plastic materials of the cable
are too high (measured values respectively up to 0.22%, 2.6%, 1.1%
and 5.5% by weight). Does not meet the requirements of the EU RoHS
2.0 directive and POPs regulations

The plastic in the keyboard contains high levels of polybrominated

The solder lead concentration in the product was too high (measured
as high as 60.8% by weight). The cable’s plastic material contains

(DEHP) (measured values up to 8.3% by weight) and does not comply
with the requirements of the EU RoHS 2.0 directive
